lombok

A short 30 minute flight away from Bali, is the island of Lombok.

Lombok is the most popular destination in Nusa Tenggara Indonesia, with the fabled Gili
Islands drawing visitors for action both in and out of the water.

The mighty Gunung Rinjani Volcano luring trekkers, and the big breaks on the south coast a magnet for surfers.

Lombok hosts some of the worlds most beautiful white sand beaches, turquoise crescent-shaped bays and rugged hillsides, jaw dropping beautiful, making it a
true island paradise.

Lombok has a rich and enduring indigenous culture that has withstood the pressures of modernity remarkably well.

The strong remnant culture and history of the Sasak people is one of the many unique attractions of the island.

Sitting along side the culture and natural beauty of Lombok is the influences of tourism.

Tourism is Indonesia's primary industry and the impacts of the pandemic have drastically affected the local people.

It is with open arms they look forward to fostering these pre pandemic connections.

kuta

Sitting along side the culture and natural beauty of Lombok is the influences of tourism.

The effervescent little town of Kuta is an example of this. Kuta is a hub for travellers, divers, surfers and soul escapees with its growing yogi communities.

Kuta has its fair share of cool cafes, vibrant new restaurants and an assortment of boutique accommodations.

The most alluring reason we chose Lombok is for the more low
key impacts tourism has on the island, as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the Island of Bali.

giving back

At the core of our retreats we embed the

Te Ao Māori philosophy of

" Aroha mai, Aroha atu ~

Love received, Love returned'.

Our intention on retreat is to give back to the beautiful communities we visit.

We are excited to partner with

The Batu Bambu Kids Foundation on Lombok to express our gratitude for the warm hospitality given by the Indonesian people.
